A pilgrims progress
I recently read a little book by John Bunyan called "A Pilgrims Progress" and the book just blessed me so that I had actually went and purchased a couple of copies to give to friends and family. The book was written while Bunyan was imprisoned for preaching the Gospel in public without a licence in the 16th century in Bedford England. The story is written as an allegory and portrays the life of a christian on his way to heaven. The comparisons that the writer came up with gripped me so that I could not put it down.
The book reminded me once again of Jesus' words in the gospel books about the narrow and the broad ways that we need to choose between while here on earth. These days there are so many little intersections, slipways and link roads that are designed to lead christians off the straight and narrow path that we often make the wrong choices or are even blinded into believing that we ARE STILL on the narrow way. Just like in Bunyan's book and in the Bible, for those who are deceived or stubborn to the truth, the end and culmination of life here on earth will be a very disappointing experience.
But God is an awesome good and merciful God, a God of second, third, fourth and fifth chances. He is always ready to catch us when we fall and pull us close to His chest when we run to Him. Jesus says in the Bible that He is The Way and if we follow Him He will give us life everlasting.
Dear christian, stay on the narrow way by taking Jesus' hand every morning and following His lead, His perfect plan for your life, His Still Small voice in your heart, until your feet touch those streets of gold...

My first blog post
This is my first blog post and I am not quite sure if anyone will actually read it - but here goes:
In my 36 years of life so far I have seen a lot and done a lot. I have lost a lot and been blessed a lot. I have come to know that my survival, not only here on earth, but moreso in the hereafter, depends completely on my relationship with Jesus Christ.
My blog posts will contain my thoughts, experiences and testimonies that will glorify His Name and will express my thankfulness towards Him.
Join my blog if you love Jesus and wish to share like minded thoughts.
